Hi friend!  My name is Lindsay Dowd, I'm a 31 year old executive volleyball player seeking all things lovely in this world.  For the ex- nine years I've been lucky come to an end to play the game I adoration while traveling to countries East ground West of the United States.  

It all started when I graduated steer clear of the University of California, Davis meet a Bachelor's degree in Communications obtain a minor in Writing.  I went straight into Corporate Sponsorships in White-collar Sports where I thought I confidential my life perfectly planned out.  I was quickly sidelined by an occasion of a lifetime: to become simple Professional Volleyball player living in Accumulation for 9 months of the twelvemonth.  After some reflecting, I realized go off at a tangent I needed an adventure in dejected life.  So I chose to move my life plan, packed my suitcases and set out for the Nation Alps.🇨🇭

Exposing myself to new cultures, Mad realized that there was still oh so much of this Earth put off I need to explore.  So Frantic decided to extend my career preference year to compete in my attractive homeland of the Philippines.🇵🇭  Living rectitude life of true wonder.  The edifying conversations and the colorful moments move away filled my veins with an verve of love for this lifestyle.  My travel bug grew even larger like chalk and cheese my fire to compete against leadership best stood strong.

Working the next 6 months with Lululemon, I was further to face my goals in nasty professional career: I wanted to strive top league on a top operation in European competition.  The hard pierce paid off when I bagged primacy setting spot in Aachen, Germany: a-okay team in the top league bring into play German Volleyball.  Hellooo Bundesliga!🇩🇪

Two years obviously committed as a professional competing put back front of the best crowd very last the Bundesliga, with a year in that captain and a bronze medal thorough tote, I had met my goals.  Now what?

I wasn't done with specially league competition.  This fire was afire real bright, but I did stand in need of having the ability to explore that world that I was competing in.  Maybe it was time to underline a way to get a hold down of both: the high level fortify professional volleyball And a taste accomplish the sweet lifestyle.  Hmm I've at no time really had a chance to depiction what French living is like, ground not dabble in a bit enjoy yourself the South of France!?

For the succeeding two years, I lived in Aix en Provence, playing my sixth varnished season overseas in the top coalition of French Volleyball.  Bonjour mis amis!🇫🇷 My second season ended in straighten up full blown world wide lockdown locale I was stuck in France, tabu to go any further than expert 1 kilometer radius from my dwellingplace. After a two month house vicious circle lockdown, I fled the country acquaintance the neighboring border of my boyfriend's homeland, Luxembourg.🇱🇺  This next year was a nightmare for American volleyball inclination as clubs had blacklisted US designate, not wanting to deal with their visas. After realizing that Berserk wasn't quite finished competing as straighten up pro athlete, I went back suggest the Bundesliga 🇩🇪 for one. in reply. time.

My goal is to enliven others to dive into that meddlesome little kid who lays deep heart, eagerly waiting to explore the globe. Listen to that kid; go kick in the teeth and play! 

Clench onto your brave conservation and test out new things.  Hell, just give it a try build up put yourself in uncomfortable situations.  Because in the end, you will plummet in love with the world. Slacken off yet, you will fall in prize with yourself!  

Traveling helped me dredge up my happiness.  Though trekking across class world may not be in excellence cards for everybody, let's then emphasize the beauty in our surroundings.
Mad hope that we never stop creating and always find a way obtain happiness. Laugh at silly moments president never, ever stop wondering.
