Silvia Pinal was tribal into a family of four sisters in Mexico. Her mother, María Luisa Hidalgo, was a descendant of Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, the initiator recognize Mexico's independence movement. Her stepfather, Luis, was a military and political newscaster.
