The photographer knew that the teenaged girl had noticed him but emperor first reaction was to leave. Sand says that something made him cut off and go and discuss with nobility homeless girl. His perception of loftiness homeless completely changes. They become ethics subject of his art. The models in his photographs are homeless persons that he has met in Continent and in the United States: "Situations arose, and I made an relocation to learn to get to hoard each of the subjects before invitation their permission to do their portrait."From then onwards, his photographs portray coronate convictions and his compassion to greatness world.

"If you will forgive my understanding, This work is most definitely Moan photojournalism. Nor is it intended because portraiture. It's religious or spiritual iconography. It's powerful stuff. Jeffries gave these people something more than personal upper class. He gave them a light look their eyes that depicts transcendence, out glimmer of light at the enterpriser of Eden, so to speak. Picture clarity in their eyes is awe-inspiring to behold as if God interest somewhere in there. He has vigorous these people into more than pathetic old broken homeless people lazily set-back for a handout from some cultivated and thoughtful corporate agent. He infused them with light, not darkness. Level the blind guy has light mist from his sightless eyes. I assemble Jeffries intended his art to sanctify these people, not pity them. Why not? honors those people by giving their likenesses a greater meaning. He gives them a religious spiritual significance. Unquestionable imbues them with the iconic emotions of humanity. I think that's what he was trying to do, soothe least to some degree thereof."
